Refund Policy
Last updated: May 2026
Photo Repair Lab wants to deal fairly with users while also recognising that the Services involve immediate digital processing and personalised output.
1. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory consumer laws. If the Services are faulty, not provided with due care and skill, not fit for their disclosed purpose, or do not match their description, you may be entitled to a remedy, which may include re-supply or refund depending on the circumstances.
2. Automatic refunds for failed processing
If Photo Repair Lab charges you for a processing job that fails technically and does not deliver the requested output, we will automatically re-credit your account, re-run the job, or refund the amount charged. This includes content-policy rejections from upstream AI providers and technical errors detected during processing.
3. Manual refund requests
Subject to your statutory rights, Photo Repair Lab may offer discretionary refunds in the following situations:
- duplicate payment;
- clear billing error;
- purchase made in error and no material use of the purchased credits or service has occurred;
- technical malfunction substantially affecting delivery of the purchased service; or
- other circumstances Photo Repair Lab considers fair in its discretion.
4. When refunds are usually not available
Subject to applicable law, refunds are usually not provided for:
- successfully completed restoration or enhancement jobs that produced an output substantially matching the requested processing type;
- dissatisfaction based only on artistic preference, subjective taste, or a change of mind after successful delivery;
- failure to download outputs within the stated retention period;
- problems caused by unsupported file types, poor source image quality, or user error where the Service operated as described;
- account action taken due to breach of the Terms or Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Refund request window
Discretionary refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the relevant charge. Send requests to support@photorepairlab.com with the account email, transaction date, amount, and reason for the request.
6. Credit expiry
Credits purchased, granted, or otherwise added to your account are valid for 12 months from the date they are added. Unused credits expire automatically at the end of this period and are removed from the account balance. Photo Repair Lab will normally send reminder emails before credits expire, but it remains your responsibility to use credits within the validity period. Subject to your statutory rights, no refund is payable for expired credits, including credits expired following long account inactivity.
7. Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback, please contact Photo Repair Lab so the issue can be investigated and, where appropriate, resolved quickly. Photo Repair Lab reserves the right to contest chargebacks relating to valid charges and to suspend accounts or reverse credits where fraudulent or abusive chargeback activity occurs.
