How it works

From upload to download in three simple steps.

1. Upload

Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB. The clearer the original scan, the better the result.

2. AI processes

Our AI analyses your photo and applies the appropriate model. Most jobs finish in under a minute.

3. Download

Compare before / after, then download the high-resolution result. Your originals are never used to train AI models.

Colour you can actually frame

Most "AI colourise" tools produce cartoon-bright, over-saturated results that look fine on a phone screen but feel wrong printed and framed. Our colourisation is tuned for the opposite: muted, period-accurate palettes that match what photographs of that era would actually have looked like in colour. Khaki uniforms stay khaki. 1950s skin tones stay natural. Pastel baby clothing stays pastel.

Colourisation is included with our Comprehensive Restoration tier (20 credits ($2.00)). The same pass also fixes fading, yellowing, scratches, and minor damage — so you get a fully restored, colourised file from a single upload.

Plausible, not guaranteed

Our AI does not know which dress your grandmother wore on her wedding day. It picks a colour that is plausible for the era, fabric type, and lighting. If you have a written description or a separate colour reference photograph, mention it in the upload note and we will guide the colourisation accordingly.
